This research focuses on contemporary immovable heritage, offering a protocol for the analysis and diagnosis of Cultural Heritage Information Systems (CHIS) in order to improve accessibility and visibility. To this end, the study reviews experiences in the documentation of contemporary heritage at the national and Andalusian levels, providing also an international context; develops a detailed diagnosis of the Andalusian CHIS from the user's perspective; generates a protocol to identify the limitations of CHIS in terms of information and functions, and, finally, provides strategies to improve the accessibility and visibility of contemporary heritage in both existing and future CHIS.
