This study analyzes the altarpiece of the Visitation of the Virgin in Tarazona Cathedral, a prominent work of the Aragonese Renaissance combining pine wood and alabaster. Commissioned by Dean Pedro Villalón and currently in a poor state of conservation, the research aims to spur its urgent restoration. The work examines the patron's family, the chapel's architecture, and its imagery, dated between 1525 and 1532 under the likely coordination of the woodcarver Esteban de Obray and the orbit of Gabriel Joly. Likewise, it studies its "del romano" polychromy and the use of applied brocade, attributing it to the painter Prudencio de Lapuente alongside his father.
