This article examines the so-called Queen’s Dressing Cabinet, preserved in the parish church of Olvés (Zaragoza), a remarkable amber artefact that has been reused since the eighteenth century as a Holy Thursday Monument (Easter Sepulchre). The formal and technical analysis of the piece, its comparison with similar examples preserved in Dresden and Malbork, together with previously unpublished documentation from the parish archive and diplomatic sources concerning relations between Charles III and the Sultan of Morocco, support the hypothesis that the cabinet once formed part of European courtly exchange networks as a diplomatic gift before being incorporated into the religious heritage of Olvés.
