Visiting museums today: reflections on the new digital observer and its cultural practices in a tranforming heritage

The behaviours of current museum visitors, who no longer contemplate artistic works but use them in many cases as means to prepare their own images captured by mobile devices, allow us to understand some aspects of the new digital culture that is being configured and let us to establish a critical comparison with respect to the current values and those ones that were configured for the viewer of modernity. Thus, the Museum as a transformed heritage and its cultural changes become a privileged space for analysis.
